Lucy Peanut
the adventures of a young pup
Lucy Peanut is a tiny pup with a big spirit. When she was only a few weeks old, she took off on an adventure out into the world on her own. She looked like a chipmunk when she was walking down the middle of the road. She might have been hit by a car, but luckily the car that came along was Sharon’s, and because Sharon had just gotten new glasses, she was able to see that Lucy was Lucy and not any kind of chipmunk at all. Some people weren’t sure what Lucy was, but Sharon knew. Lucy was a baby Miniature Dachshund, and Lucy was Sharon’s new friend.
It didn’t take Lucy Peanut long to make more friends. One of her best friends lives down the street. She is an older Dachshund named Katie.
Lucy Peanut also has a very good friend named Annie Aussie. Annie is a big dog that lives at Grandmother’s house.
And then there is Lucy Peanut’s most arch frenemy, Jack Cat. He is mostly an okay guy, but he has this one issue that is a problem for our girl. He is a cat.
Sometimes Jack Cat tries to help Lucy Peanut in ways she isn’t totally certain are really helpful.
Jack Cat or no Jack Cat, though, Lucy Peanut mostly has an awesome happy life now.
Life is awesome, that is, except for when she has to go to the vet for shots. She is hoping that will never, ever, ever happen again.
We’re so sorry, Lucy Peanut, but there will be more trips to the vet in the future.
But there will also be more happy days of running around with friends.
And chasing cats.
This is Lucy Peanut’s story. This is the story of a happy girl.
Mostly.
Except for when someone tries to tell her to do something she does not want to do.
The end.
